A divisional chart, or varga, magnifies one part of the birth chart. Each of the twelve 30-degree signs is split into n equal parts, and a planet's precise longitude is mapped through those parts into a finer chart — the Dn — that speaks to a single area of life. Kundli Studio builds every varga straight from astronomical positions, so the divisions are exact rather than read off a table.
Every division has its own counting rule, and the classical texts assign each one a different area of life — the table below lists all twenty-three with the arc of a single part. One longitude across the divisions
A single position resolves differently in every varga, because each division cuts the sign at a different width and counts from a different starting point. Saturn at 21 deg 55' Sagittarius in a sample chart cast for 1 January 1990, noon IST at Chennai — a fabricated datum, never a real birth:

How many divisional charts are there?
The classical sets are the six-fold Shadvarga, the seven-fold Sapthavarga, the ten-fold Dasavarga and the sixteen-fold Shodasavarga. This calculator computes twenty-three divisions in all, and each has its own page in the table below.

Why do the same planets land in different signs in each chart?
Because every division cuts the sign at a different width and counts its parts from a different starting point — some from the sign itself, some from a seed fixed by the sign's element or quality. The arithmetic, not the planet, changes.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Yes. The higher divisions read very small slices of longitude, so an accurate birth time and place are essential for the varga charts to be correct.
